RRB NTPC Undergraduate Exam 2025: Schedule, Pattern, and Admit Card Details
RRB NTPC 2025 UG Exam Dates Announced: CBT 1 from August 7 to September 8
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official schedule for the RRB NTPC 2025 examination, specifically for undergraduate-level positions.
The Computer-Based Test (CBT 1), which is the first stage of the recruitment process, will be held from August 7 to September 8, 2025.
Given the large number of applicants, the examination will be conducted in multiple shifts—morning, afternoon, and evening—each day.
The CBT 1 exam pattern includes 100 objective-type questions divided into three sections: General Awareness (40 questions), Mathematics (30 questions), and General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 questions).
The total exam duration is 90 minutes. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect response.
City intimation slip:
To assist candidates in planning their travel and logistics, RRB will release a city intimation slip 10 days before the individual exam date, which would be on July 29 2025.
This slip provides information about the exam city, date, and shift, but it does not serve as the admit card.
Candidates can download it by logging into the official regional RRB websites using their registration number and date of birth.
Additionally, SC/ST candidates who are eligible can download a free travel pass from the same RRB portal.
Admit card / e-call letter:
The actual admit card, also known as the e-call letter, will be made available for download 4 days prior to the candidate’s scheduled exam.
It is mandatory for candidates to print and carry this admit card to the exam centre, along with a valid photo identification document such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or driving license.
To ensure the security and transparency of the recruitment process, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will carry out biometric authentication at examination centres using Aadhaar data.
Candidates are advised to keep their Aadhaar information unlocked in the UIDAI system on the day of the exam to prevent any verification-related problems.
This exam is a significant opportunity for 12th-pass candidates aiming to secure government jobs in the Indian Railways.
The RRB NTPC 2025 exam for undergraduate-level posts will be held to fill a total of 3,445 vacancies.
It targets various non-technical roles such as Junior Clerk-Typist, Train Clerk, and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.
According to reports, around 1.21 crore candidates have registered for the RRB NTPC 2025 recruitment process, which includes both graduate and undergraduate level exams.
The examination for graduate-level posts was already conducted from June 5 to June 24, 2025. The answer key for the graduate-level exam was officially released on July 1, 202 5.
