Each eligible candidate has been assigned an Overall (Common) Rank.
Category Ranks are assigned to candidates from vertical reservation categories:
OBC-NCL
GEN-EWS
SC
ST
No Separate Category Ranks For:
Candidates from General or OBC category (unreserved vertical category) do not receive separate category ranks.
PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates do not receive separate category ranks as PwD is a horizontal reservation (5%) applied within each vertical category.
KM (Kashmiri Migrant) candidates also do not receive a separate rank as it is a supernumerary category.
The Category Rank is provisional and subject to change after document verification.
Receiving a rank does not guarantee admission or an offer from IISER. Further selection will depend on the counselling process and seat availability.

The expected cut-offs for UR candidates vary by institute.
For instance, IISc Bangalore may require 190–200 marks, IIT Madras 175–185, IISER Pune 160–170, and so on, with lower cut-offs for IISERs like Tirupati and Berhampur (as low as 95–120 marks).
