Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter the electric vehicle segment with its first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, expected to debut on September 3, 2025.
As the company’s maiden EV offering for the Indian market, the e-Vitara is among the most anticipated launches of the year.
The SUV will compete with established players such as the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE.06, and MG ZS EV.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara EV Exterior Design
The e-Vitara embraces a futuristic and aerodynamic design, reflecting the latest trends in electric mobility.
The front fascia features LED projector headlamps, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and integrated fog lamps, while the absence of a traditional radiator grille enhances its modern appeal.
The side profile gets black body cladding and 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels.
At the rear, the SUV sports a blacked-out bumper, three-piece LED tail lamps, and a connecting gloss black strip, giving it a bold and distinctive appearance.

The cabin of the e-Vitara is designed to offer a premium, tech-forward experience.

- Drive Type: Front-Wheel Drive (FWD)
61 kWh Variant
FWD Version –
- Power: 171 bhp
- Range: Up to 426 km
AWD Version –
- Power: 181 bhp, 307 Nm
- Range: Up to 395 km
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara EV Charging Times
Maruti Suzuki has prioritized convenience with quick charging capabilities across both variants:
49 kWh Battery:
7 kW AC: ~6.5 hours
11 kW AC: ~4.5 hours
61 kWh Battery:
7 kW AC: ~9 hours
11 kW AC: ~5.5 hours
DC Fast Charging (10–80%): Approx. 45 minutes for both variants

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara EV Manufacturing and Global Debut
The e-Vitara will be manufactured by Suzuki Motor Gujarat, and was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi in January 2025.
It also made its international debut in Milan, Italy, signaling Maruti Suzuki’s global ambitions in the EV space.
With the launch of the e-Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is making a significant leap into electric mobility. Its modern styling, rich feature set, and practical range make it a compelling contender in the electric SUV segment.
