Bajaj Launches Updated Dominar 250 and 400: Prices, Specs & Key Changes
2025 Bajaj Dominar 250 & 400 Launched in India with New Features
Launch & Pricing
Bajaj Auto has officially launched the updated 2025 Dominar 250 and Dominar 400 in India.
The Dominar 250 is priced at ₹1.92 lakh, while the Dominar 400 comes in at ₹2.39 lakh (both ex-showroom prices).
These updates come shortly after Bajaj teased the refreshed models, and now both bikes are available with a revised feature set.
Notably, while the design remains largely unchanged, several key improvements have been introduced in terms of features and ergonomics.
New Features & Technology
A significant update for both models is the inclusion of four ride modes: Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-Road.
These modes enhance rider control by adjusting throttle response and ABS sensitivity to match different road and weather conditions.
Additionally, the Dominar 400 now features ride-by-wire technology, offering more precise throttle management.
In contrast, the Dominar 250 uses a mechanical throttle but still incorporates four ABS modes for variable braking control.
Another notable upgrade is the addition of a new colour LCD speedometer, similar to the unit on the Pulsar NS400Z.
This bonded glass digital display is paired with updated switchgear, improving usability and visibility.
Bajaj has also added a GPS mount to both models, enabling easy integration of smartphones or navigation devices for touring.
Ergonomics & Touring Enhancements
With touring in mind, Bajaj has introduced ergonomic revisions to enhance rider comfort, especially during long-distance rides.
The most prominent change is the revised handlebar setup, designed to reduce fatigue and improve posture over extended durations.
Combined with the new digital display and GPS mounting point, these tweaks underscore Bajaj’s focus on making the Dominar range more touring-friendly.
Engine & Performance
Mechanically, both motorcycles retain their existing engines. The Dominar 400 continues to be powered by a 373 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which delivers 39 hp at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Meanwhile, the Dominar 250 runs on a 248 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 26 hp at 8,500 rpm and 23 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, also with a six-speed transmission.
These figures ensure that while performance remains familiar, the riding experience has been elevated with added control and comfort.
